Khou.com reports a boat carrying 5 people struck an unknown object in the Kemah Waterway near the Highway 146 Bridge on October 30, 2010. According to witnesses, the boat was able to dock at the closet pier and wait for the authorities. 2 of the 5 people onboard were hospitalized, 1 in serious condition. The remaining boaters were treated at the scene and released. Police indicated it was not known whether alcohol was involved.
