Fisherman Aboard the Atlantic Prince Out of New Bedford Airlifted to Massachusetts General

Rhode Island News reports the captain of the New Bedford fishing vessel Atlantic Prince radioed the Coast Guard on the night of March 15 that a 26-year-old crewmember suffered an eye injury and required immediate medical attention. At the time of the injury, the fishing vessel was about 50 miles south of Block Island.
The U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crew airlifted the fisherman to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Cape Cod reports that on January 16, 2011 at approximately 3:50 p.m. Coast Guard watchstanders in Boston received a report from the captain of the fishing vessel Jennifer Anne that a 53 year old fishermen was experiencing chest pain. The Jennifer Anne was approximately 115 miles east of Cape Anne, Massachusetts when the emergency happened.

January 20, 2011 Fishermen Injury & Death reports watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi received a request for a medevac at 10 a.m., on January 11, 2011 from the Mexican Rescue Command Center in Tampico, Mexico, stating that a crewmember aboard the Gijon IX had reportedly suffered a laceration on his head while working on deck. The fishing boat was approximately 40 miles south of South Padre Island, Texas when the accident occurred.

Fishermen Airlifted off Gloucester Fishing Boat Grace Marie After Serious Injury

The Gloucester Times reports a fishermen aboard the Gloucester-based fishing boat Grace Marie was airlifted by Coast Guard rescue helicopter after being seriously injured.
The Coast Guard reports, the fishing vessel was 10 miles north of Provincetown on December 30, 2010 when Coast Guard Sector Boston watchstanders received a call from the Grace Marie captain that a 52 year old crewmember had sustained an arm injury.
