Wftv.com reports the captain of the Carnival Cruise Lines ship Dream radioed the Coast Guard requesting an emergency medevac of a boy who was suffering from internal bleeding.

The emergency occurred on March 28th while the Carnival Dream was on the first leg of its cruise heading to Puerto Rico from its home port of Port Canaveral, Florida. The Coast Guard intercepted the ship as sea and flew the child, his mother, and a cruise ship nurse to a Puerto Rico hospital. The boy’s name has not been released and condition is unknown.
