Holland America’s cruise ship, Westerdam, suffered damaged 15 feet below the waterline after hitting ice while maneuvering near Hubbard Glacier in Yakutat Bay, Alaska on May 11.

The Coast Guard is currently investigating the accident. The Seattle based cruise ship was met by the Coast Guard in Sitka, where the damage was inspected and allowed to continue on its scheduled itinerary. The Westerdam’s hull was reportedly not breached and no injuries or pollution were reported.
