Jorge Torres is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico but has lived in Miami for over 27 years. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of Puerto Rico. Jorge has been in the legal field for 24 years primarily working as an office administrator/ manager. Jorge has been the firm’s administrator since 2005. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, going to the movies and the beach.
Giselle Craft, Legal Assistant
Giselle Craft is originally from Long Island, New York but has lived in Miami for over 7 years. She obtained her degree in Business Administration at Nassau College. She has worked as a legal assistant and paralegal since 1998. She began working with Keith Brais & Richard Rusak more than 6 years ago. She is fluent in Spanish and concentrates in the area of litigation. In her current role, she provides trial support for attorneys in the areas of complex litigation, arbitration and mediation. In addition to having several years of experience in all major aspects of trial technology presentation, Giselle has developed significant expertise in imaging and managing complex litigation databases.
Karla Peña, Paralegal
Karla Peña was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to Miami with her family at 1.5 years of age. She has degrees in early childhood education, social work, and graduated from Miami-Dade College from an ABA approved Paralegal program. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and studied French for seven years. She has been with the firm for over 4 years where she started as a receptionist/file clerk and has since grown professionally within the firm.
Diana del Campo, Legal Assistant
Diana del Campo joined our firm in the Spring of 2016. She was born in New Jersey but has lived in Miami since she was a child. She obtained her paralegal degree in 1990 and has more than two decades of legal experience. Diana is a litigation paralegal who assists in all phases of litigation, from inception through discovery and trial, including document examination and management, drafting of pleadings, fact development, deposition and trial preparation. In her spare time, she enjoys all kinds of outdoor sports.
Francie Albi, Legal Assistant
Francie F. Aubi was born and raised in Miami, FL. She lives with her husband of 13 years and their two children. She started as a receptionist in a law firm while still in high school and has continued in the legal field for 27 years, of which 10+ years has been in Admiralty/Maritime Law. In 2002, She graduated with an Associates in Science in the paralegal department from City College. Although she has been with Brais Brais Rusak for a year, she has known and worked with Mr. Brais and Mr. Rusak for 5 years.
Lillian Hernandez, Paralegal
Lilian Hernandez, born and raised in Miami, FL, first began work in the legal field in 2008. She provides a wide range of support for our attorneys and clients, and is constantly motivated by the opportunity to help others. Lilian has currently obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Florida International University. In her spare time, she enjoys quality time with her family and friends.
Michelle Llanes, Paralegal
Michelle Llanes is originally from Miami, Florida. She obtained her bachelor degree in psychology at Florida International University and has been working as a paralegal since 2003. As a veteran paralegal, Michelle has plans to apply her many years of experience and pursue a law degree.
Jessica Batista, Receptionist
Jessica C. Batista was born in Cuba and raised in Miami, FL. She joined our firm in the Fall of 2015 as a receptionist/file clerk and is currently enrolled in Miami-Dade College to obtain her AA Degree in Pre-law/legal studies. Jessica is fluent in both English and Spanish and hopes to graduate one day as an attorney.
