Loretta Guevara is a dedicated civil trial attorney with a focused practice in personal injury, admiralty and maritime, and insurance litigation. She brings both academic distinction and hands-on courtroom experience to every matter she handles.

Loretta earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Florida International University, where she also gained early legal experience working as a legal assistant in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. She went on to graduate cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law, during which time she served as an intern to Judge George Sarduy of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida — an experience that gave her valuable insight into the judicial process from the bench.

Since beginning her legal career, Loretta has concentrated exclusively on civil trial practice. Prior to joining Brais Law, she spent seven years representing clients in a wide range of matters, including admiralty and maritime personal injury, land-based personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, insurance coverage disputes, examination-under-oath fraud investigations, first- and third-party property insurance claims, and personal injury protection (PIP) litigation.

Loretta’s work has earned her recognition among the legal community’s rising talent. She was named to The National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40 for Florida (Miami/Ft. Lauderdale), an honor reserved for civil and criminal trial attorneys under 40 who demonstrate excellence and leadership in the profession. She has also been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in the area of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs.

Loretta is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to serve and advocate for a broad and diverse client base with clarity and confidence.
