The Southern Daily Echo reports a Filipino crewmember fell over the rails of the Celebrity cruise ship Eclipse on May 20th while the ship was sailing back to Southampton. The incident occurred 8 miles north of Cherbourg, France around 10.30pm. The French Coast Guard responded to the to a man overboard emergency call and searched the English Channel to no avail. The cruise ship was sailing a 14-night Italian Mediterranean cruise that departed Southampton on May 7.
